Actress Bobby diagnosed with dengue

Popular Bangla movie actress Eamin Haque Bobby has been diagnosed with dengue virus.

Director Iftekhar Chowdhury confirming the matter said, “Bobby was admitted to the capital’s Square Hospitals on Tuesday night after she got a very high fever. Later, she was diagnosed with dengue fever.”

“After the blood test, doctors advised her to stay home as her platelet count is 345,000. Bobby urges her fan and followers to pray for her quick recovery,” he added.
Dengue situation remains grim as the country struggles to control the largest outbreak of the mosquito-borne disease. This outbreak has claimed at least 23 lives, according to government data. But unofficial estimates suggest the death toll is higher.

More than 30,000 people have been infected with dengue virus since January 1 — and deaths created panic among the people, particularly the residents of Dhaka which is at the centre of the outbreak.

Local Government Ministry has already allocated Tk 15 crore to two city corporations in the capital to check dengue fever ruining the breeding grounds of aedes mosquitoes.
